Shirakiku Shirasagi-no-Ito Somen Noodle (25.39oz/720g)
Shirasagi No Ito Somen noodles are Japanese dried vermicelli wheat noodles that can be served hot or cold, in a variety of Japanese dishes. Somen are very thin -- less than 1.3 mm in diameter -- and are made from wheat flour.
When served cold, typically in the summer, somen are usually served with a light dipping sauce or tsuyu. Hot somen noodle soup dishes are called nyumen and are served in the colder months of the year.
Somen is easy to enjoy: just boil for two minutes, then strain and add your favorite soup stock or Japanese condiments such as ginger, green onion, egg and spices.
